TIMELINE:

December 2008 - Ilya and Shane meet in Saskatchewan at the World Junior Hockey Championships, they speak briefly

June 2009 - LA - NHL Draft - Yearning in a hotel gym

December 2009 - Ottawa World Junior Hockey Championships

July 2010 - Toronto - filmed commercial - first hook up

October 2010 - Montreal - First game against each other

January 2011 - Nashville - All Stars - Press Conference together - Hook up again

February 2011 - Montreal - First time they have sex.

June 2011 - Las Vegas - NHL Awards - see each other briefly on the rooftop

December 2013 - Shane bought a building just to fuck in

February 2014 - Russia for the Olympics

June 2014 - Las Vegas for NHL Awards - gave Most Sportsmanlike award together. Hotel room where they didn’t even kiss.

October 2016 - Shane loses to Ilya, they hook up in Shane’s building. Shane tries to convince himself that he hates Ilya.

November 2016 - Ilya says Shane’s name during sex. Tuna Melt. Wants him to spend the night. Shane gets weird. Shane then meets Rose.

December 2016 - The press says Shane and Rose are dating. Ilya doesn’t like it.

January 2017 - Play against each other but don’t text each other. They see each other at a club. A week later - Rose tells him she thinks he’s gay. The same night, Ilya is with Svetlana - Ilya realizes no one makes him feel like Shane. All Star game in Tampa.

Meanwhile, Scott Hunter meets Kip in Straw + Berry.

February 2017 - Start texting more. Ilya plays Scott (New York) - Scott punches Ilya in the face because Ilya ran his mouth about how Scott had started playing better. Frank Zullo gets arrested, kicked off of NY. Scott and Kip celebrate their first Valentine's day together.

March 2017 - Ilya's dad dies. Ilya tells Shane he’s in love with him … but in Russian.

April 2017 - Shane gets hurt during one of their games. Ilya freaks out. Noticeably.

May 2017 - Ilya loses in the playoffs to Scott Hunter.

June 2017 - Scott Hunter wins the Stanley Cup. Scott kisses Kip on TV. Ilya calls Shane and tells him he wants to go to the cottage. NHL awards, Scott gives a speech. Ilya goes to the bar with them after the show.

July 2017 - Ottawa - Ilya and Shane hide out in the cottage, tell each other they love each other. Come up with a plan. Shane's parents find out.

November 2018 - Ilya is now playing for Ottawa. Ilya and Shane have dinner with Hayden and his wife. Ilya and Shane announce their charity.

July 2020 (29 years old) - 2nd year of hockey camps for charity.

November 2020 - Ilya starts therapy. Troy Barrett transfers to Ottawa.

December 2020 - After Christmas they have a big fight because Shane is dumb.

January 2021 - Ottawa team on way to Florida have flight trouble. Engine on fire. Ilya messages Shane basically goodbye messages on Instagram. Two days later, Shane proposes to Ilya. Shane wants to come out and get married in the summer. All Star Skills Competition occurs.

February 2021 - Troy tells Ilya that he and Harris are together. Ilya meets up with Svetlana and tells her about him and Shane. Troy comes out at Pride Night.

March 2021 - Ilya gets a dog - Anya. Hayden is filming a FanMail video and accidentally gets Shane and Ilya making out in the back. The video goes viral. Ilya’s coach and team back him 100%. Shane not so much. Both get benched (not sure why?). Have to meet with the Commish who wants them to say it was all a joke. They refuse.

April 2021 - Unbenched. Ilya’s team - wonderfully supportive. Shane’s - assholes. They meet in the first round of the playoffs. Goes to Game 7 - Shane trips, Ilya scores, Ottawa wins. Shane’s team thinks he tripped on purpose. Ilya vs Scott Hunter in next round of playoffs. Scott goes to Ilya's house to ask them to join the group to fight back against toxic hockey culture. Scott won the round and advanced.

May 2021 - Shane decides he’s done with Montreal.

July 2021 - Shane signs with Ottawa. A week later, they get married.

October 2021 - Opening game - Finally on the same team.
