Plot

Brighton Island in the UK is home to two colleges, very close together. King’s U for Americans and Royal Elite for the British (now there are a few Americans in Elite and some Brits in Kings U but not much). These people come from wealthy, connected families. Like - CEOs of powerful companies and organized crime.

There are also 3 secret societies between these two colleges. Kings U have the Heathens, Elite has the Elites (original right), and then there’s a third, not real sure where they belong - Serpents. They are the most hush hush out of the 3 groups.

*Important to note, the books in this series are happening at the same time. This is Book four of the Legacy of Gods series. Book one , Book two , and Book three can be found here.

When Landon decided to kidnap Niko, to lure out Jeremy for Creighton, Niko got hurt (he’s fine). His sister, Mia, decided Landon needed to pay for this. So she broke into the Elite’s (with the help from Brandon), and managed to dump pigs blood on Landon Carrie-style. Obviously, Landon didn’t like this but also, he was impressed.

These sociopaths, or whatever they are diagnosed as, become obsessed with someone and Landon is this books little psycho. Also, he is a sculptor and has never believed in muses before, until Mia. She makes him more creative and focused on sculpting. If Landon is this books obsessed crazy, Mia is our “no I don't like this (Okay I do), stop (don’t stop)” person. She doesn’t want to like Landon, because it's Landon. Niko and Jeremy freaking hate him. Killian doesn’t like him but tolerates him because of Glyn. Landon needs her in his life, because muse, but he is having a hard time winning her over. So he enlists the help of his siblings. Which means he actually has to have a conversation with them where Brandon and Glyn realize that Landon does love them, in his own way, but that he has no idea how to have real feelings. Similar to Killian, he just copies them. He asks Brandon to teach him empathy.

Landon’s attempt does woo Mia and they start to have a relationship.

When Niko finds out, Niko obviously does not handle Landon and Mia’s relationship very well. Him, Jeremy, and Killian take Landon and kick the shit out of him and threaten to break his hands. Landon says go ahead, I’d rather have broken hands and be with Mia than not be with her. Mia makes them stop and tells Niko she will not see Landon anymore. Mia and Maya go home to see their parents and guess who shows up? Landon. He woos over her family (except for her dad and Maya). While home, Mia goes for a walk alone and gets confronted by her old nanny (and we find out the reason Mia is mute - because her nanny kidnapped her when she was little, and had told her if she tells anyone who kidnapped her, they would kill whoever she told, so she never spoke again). Maya shows up - we find out that Maya has always felt guilty because she was with Mia when they got kidnapped but she got away. She never told anyone who the kidnapper was because she was jealous of Mia and just wanted a few days away from her (Nice sister right?). The old nanny pulls a gun but Landon shows up behind her. She attempts to shoot Landon but he’s faster.

Fast forward to two years later, Landon opens up an art show with all of his sculptures. They are all of Mia in various situations. Then he asks her to marry him.
