Characters
Ava - roommate to Cecily, Annika, and Glyndon. Has been in love with Eli her whole life.
Eli - Creighton's brother. Cousins with Landon, Brandon, and Glyn. Has a love/hate relationship with Landon.
Brandon - MMC of Book 5, Glyndon’s brother, the nice twin. Becomes friends with Mia, has a lot of trauma in his past that he struggles with but hides.
Nikolai - MMC of Book 5, Brother to Mia and Maya, cousins with Kllian, besties with Jeremy, part of the Heathens. Slightly crazy, manic, but golden retriever energy.
Mia - FMC of Book 4, Nikolai’s sister, twin to Maya. Killian and Jeremy are both very protective of her. Something happened to her when she was young and now she doesn't speak. Communicates with sign language.
Landon - MMC of Book 4, Glyndon’s brother, the "mean" twin, Jeremy and him hate each other with a passion.

Plot
Brighton Island in the UK is home to two colleges, very close together. King’s U for Americans and Royal Elite for the British (now there are a few Americans in Elite and some Brits in Kings U but not much). These people come from wealthy, connected families. Like - CEOs of powerful companies and organized crime.
There are also 3 secret societies between these two colleges. Kings U have the Heathens, Elite has the Elites (original right), and then there’s a third, not real sure where they belong - Serpents. They are the most hush hush out of the 3 groups.
*Important to note, the books in this series are happening at the same time. This is Book Six of the Legacy of Gods series. Book one , Book two , Book three , Book four, and Book five can be found here.
Ava has always had a big ole crush on Eli. She was in love with him growing up. When she turned 18, she wrote him a letter telling him her feelings. But Eli - being a typical MMC in these stories - has zero real feelings and treats her like shit. Throughout all the other books, we have learned that Ava doesn’t like to be around Eli. She calls him “He who shall not be named” ***.
When this story opens, we are a little in the future compared to the other books. A lot of them have graduated or are in their senior year and Ava still loves to party. She loves to drink as much as possible and takes whatever pills she wants. She is partying at a club with some “friends” and Cecily feels bad but she leaves the club to go hang out with Jeremy (and also she is planning on moving to the States soon with Jeremy). But no worries - Eli is watching. Ava can feel him watching her while she grinds all over other guys.
She goes to a private room to call her sister, Ari. Eli comes in and tells her she needs to go home - alone. She basically tells him to get fucked.
Shortly, she leaves the club and makes the dumb decision to get behind the wheel. Someone is following her with no headlights on and she starts to freak out. She tries to call the British version of 911 but she ends up crashing.
When she wakes up - she is super confused. Eli is sitting by her bed looking very concerned, and slightly older. Cecily is there, along with Ari. She is told that it's two years from when she thinks it is, and that SURPRISE - her and Eli are married.
It’s hard for her to understand what the fuck is going on. As far as she is concerned, she still feels about Eli the way she felt about him that night at the club. Strong dislike. She can’t figure out why she can’t remember anything and also, what the fuck happened to make her marry Eli.
Throughout the book, we are as confused as Ava. We go to wanting to trust Eli, to then thinking maybe we shouldn’t?
Eventually - we find out that Ava has some serious mental issues and when something stressful/traumatic happens, she suffers a psychotic break, and loses some of her memories. The night of the crash, Eli was following Ava home, but so was some creeper from the club. When Eli pulled up to the wreck, this dude had Ava out of the car, pushed against her car, with her dress riding up. She was clearly non-consenting and Eli lost it. Eli pulls the guy off of her and basically beats him to death. He tells Ava that they both need to keep this little incident a secret, and he won’t tell anyone, IF she marries him.
Throughout the course of their two year marriage, Eli did some questionable things but he did it for the right reasons? No, he did it because he wanted Ava as his, so he kind of forced her to be with him. He blackmailed her into marrying him, then let her overhear a converstation between her parents where she felt like a burden due to her mental issues, so she had her parents sign over power of atternoy to Eli. Eli wanted her to get sober, so he tied her to a bed, and forced withdrawal onto her. She wouldn’t take her pills, so he put her into a psych facility and only signed her out when she agreed to take her medications. Him doing these things didn’t hurt her - in fact, getting sober and taking her meds actually helped but the method is what is questionable.
The morning she woke up, she had a psychotic break the night before. She remembered some things and came at Eli with a knife. She stabbed him and then was so upset, she fell down the stairs. Now that she is remembering it all again, she has a sharp piece of glass and is threatening herself with it. Eli manages to sedate her.
Ava wants a divorce because 1 - Eli has lied to her and 2 - she feels like a burden to him. Eli chooses this inconvenient time to realize that he loves his wife and doesn’t want to lose her. Ava goes to her parents house and then asks to be admitted to a psych facility.
Eli visits her every day, even though she doesn’t know it. She stays there for three months before she gets discharged. She finds out a lot of what has happened during the two years she forgot and while she has been in the psych facility. She realizes she doesn’t want a divorce from Eli.
She goes to their house to get their stuff and confronts him. He’s like what do you want from me? You wanted a divorce and I said ok. She’s like well now I don’t. They finally talk … or yell … and admit they both love each other. These freaking King men I swear.
Epilogue 1 - Cecily and Jeremy get married! Niko and Bran were married two months ago. Killian and Glyn will get married next month. Landon and Mia in six months. Anni and Creighton in a year. And Ari is bound and determined to marry Remi.
Epilogue 2 - Ava and Eli had triplets! Holy shit I can’t imagine.
